Happy Feet Entertainment
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Effective: September 15, 2026
This policy summarizes the standard booking terms of Happy Feet Entertainment. Your signed DJ services agreement and accepted quote govern your event and control if there is a conflict.
1. Reservation deposit
A signed agreement and a $300 reservation deposit are required to reserve an event date. The deposit is applied to the total service fee and is non-refundable except where the signed agreement or applicable law requires otherwise.
2. Remaining balance
The remaining balance is due seven calendar days before the event unless the accepted quote or signed agreement states otherwise.
3. Client cancellation
Written cancellation notice must be sent to djhappyfeet17@gmail.com. Subject to applicable law, the standard cancellation amounts are intended as a reasonable estimate of lost booking opportunities and preparation costs, not as a penalty:
- More than 90 days before the event: the $300 reservation deposit is retained and no additional cancellation amount is due.
- 31 to 90 days before the event: 50% of the total service fee is due, less payments already received.
- 30 days or fewer before the event: 100% of the total service fee is due, less payments already received.
4. Rescheduling
With more than 90 days’ written notice, one request to transfer the booking to a new date within 12 months may be considered. It is subject to availability, venue suitability and any price increase for the new date or changed services. If Happy Feet Entertainment is unavailable, or notice is 90 days or fewer, the request is treated as a cancellation unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5. Cancellation by Happy Feet Entertainment
If illness, emergency or another serious circumstance prevents performance, Happy Feet Entertainment may arrange a qualified substitute with the client’s reasonable approval. If no suitable substitute is available, amounts received for services not provided will be refunded. Rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be limited remain available.
6. Events beyond reasonable control
If severe weather, venue closure, government order, widespread power failure, natural disaster, labour disruption, serious illness or another event beyond reasonable control prevents performance, the parties will first attempt to reschedule. If that is not reasonably possible, documented non-recoverable event costs may be deducted and the remainder refunded, subject to the signed agreement and applicable law.
7. Safety and venue decisions
A refund is not normally provided when services are reduced, paused or stopped because of unsafe conditions, client or guest conduct, venue rules, noise restrictions or a decision by the client or venue to end the event early, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
8. How refunds are issued
Any approved refund will normally be returned through the original payment method or another agreed method. Processing time depends on the bank or payment provider.
9. Consumer rights and contact
Nothing in this policy waives a non-waivable right under applicable consumer protection law. Questions or notices should be sent to djhappyfeet17@gmail.com or 647-867-4877.
